The Junior Finance Analyst will provide financial and analytical support for strategic projects, investment decisions, corporate finance assignments and related advisory activities.
What Will the Junior Finance Analyst Do?
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting financial analysis and corporate finance activities. Key responsibilities include:
Developing and maintaining detailed financial models for businesses, projects and investment opportunities.
Analysing financial statements, including revenue, profitability, cash flow and balance sheet performance.
Supporting business valuation using appropriate valuation methods and financial assumptions.
Conducting investment and transaction analysis to support corporate finance and investment decisions.
Preparing financial forecasts, budgets, scenario analyses and sensitivity analyses.
Supporting the preparation of business cases, feasibility studies, investment memoranda and financial reports.
Researching companies and industries to identify commercial opportunities, risks and investment considerations.
Conducting research and benchmarking to support financial and investment recommendations.
Assisting with due diligence and transaction-related analysis when required.
Preparing clear financial presentations and reports for management, investors and other stakeholders.
Working with project, finance, investment and advisory teams on strategic assignments.
Ensuring financial models are accurate, properly structured and supported by appropriate assumptions and data.
Providing analytical support for corporate finance, project finance and investment advisory engagements.
Applicants are expected to meet the following requirements:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or a related field.
Between 3 and 5 years of relevant professional experience in financial analysis, corporate finance, investment banking, management consulting, transaction advisory or project finance.
At least 2 years of experience working within an investment bank, corporate finance advisory firm or management consulting firm.
ACA (ICAN) qualification is mandatory.
FMVA (CFI) or Financial Modeling Institute (FMI) certification is required.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Strong financial modelling skills.
Knowledge of business valuation, budgeting, forecasting and financial statement analysis.
Excellent analytical and report-writing abilities.
